Jane qualified in Physiotherapy in 1990 and is an advanced Bobath-trained therapist. She has a special interest in head injury treatment and stroke rehabilitation. Jane has previously worked at the Leeds Nuffield Hospital, Daniel Yorath House and extensively throughout Yorkshire including Sheffield Hallamshire, Doncaster and Dewsbury stroke units. She developed the neurological physiotherapy services at both the Leeds Nuffield Hospital and at Holly Lodge Head Injury Unit before launching her own private practice. Jane is a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Private Practice (OCPPP) and of ACPIN (Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Neurology).

Rachael Sharples, MSc Rehabilitation Studies; PgCertHEP; BA (Hons)
Physiotherapist

Rachael is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) and the Health Professions Council (HPC) and has been qualified for 24 years. Rachael's specialist areas are in the rehabilitation of Parkinson's Disease both on an individual and group level, and Multiple Sclerosis. Currently, Rachael combines her clinical workload with teaching physiotherapy at the University of Bradford.

Laura Lightfoot BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy. CSP, APCP and HPC registered
Physiotherapist

With 6 years experience, Laura has worked in all areas of physiotherapy including paediatrics, neurology, musculoskeletal, respiratory and the care of the elderly. Laura's work at Ilkley Physiotherapy centres on sensitively treating children with neurodevelopmental conditions or developmental co-ordination disorder (DCD). She uses a variety of techniques designed to suit each individual patient and she takes care to ensure that the child and their family are fully involved and even makes the treatment fun and therefore more effective.
