Mike qualified in 1997 with BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy, and completed a post grad MSc in Manipulative Physiotherapy and Advanced Musculoskeletal Practice. Mike is one of very few physiotherapists to have completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Dynamic Musculoskeletal Ultrasound. His current role is split between Ilkley Physiotherapy and the NHS where he works as Musculoskeletal Extended Scope Physiotherapy Practitioner.
Mike has extensive sports injury experience from amateurs to professionals including the Bradford Bulls; and is currently head physiotherapist for Ilkley RUFC. Mike specalises in running injuries and lower limb tendon problems having previously worked for Nike as a running injury consultant. He combines his manipulation skills with functional movement and stability assessment enabling restoration of normal movement and core stability to prevent injury recurrence. Using hands on treatment when nessesary in conjunction with specific rehabilitation programmes tailored to the individual.
